In these last couple weeks of summer, do something summery and child-like.
Remember these days? This video takes me right back to my childhood summer home. My brothers and I each with a glass jar with holes punched into the lid by my father to catch fireflies.
And then the jar full on the bedside table flashing all night in the dark bedroom, and me in my Wonder Woman nightgown gazing at the neon green in a trance until I couldn’t keep my eyes open any longer.

This is a very interesting point of view. Your blog is refreshing, but I wish one could find more content, though. I am looking forward to reading more from you. Keep up the good work. thanks.
So lovely! My first big smile of the day
One of the best memories of Alan’s and my honeymoon was standing at the edge of a Costa Rican road at dusk, watching the red lava flowing from the volcano in the distance, the yellow lightning cracking across the sky, and the green glow of lightning bugs flashing in the foreground. The combination of nature’s lights was breathtaking! The row of Catholic nuns in their traditional habits lined up along the roadside gaping along with us just made it all the merrier. We could not have orchestrated such a moment. Love, love, love lightning bugs.
Thank you for this.

Oh! Love this, it takes me back to memories of visiting my dad in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the summertime. Oh, how I love lightning bugs (and we don’t have them out here in the Pacific NW). pooh.

Yes, it does bring back memories of childhood and summers still. I love lightening bugs! Where I live now, every summer about the middle of June we are inundated/showered with lightening bugs. We end up sitting outside on the deck for hours unable to stop watching the light show.

I loved dreaming about Wonder Woman around age 5…especially when she lassoed me in her golden rope…

There are no lightning bugs in Hawaii, alas, but I have fond childhood memories of the critters when I visited my grandparents in Pennsylvania, and I love seeing them when I go back from time to time.
What a sweet image of little Bindu in her Wonder Woman nightgown entranced by the neon green glow of the fireflies! An early attempt at meditation, seems like. xo
