Great interview! I often struggle as well with finding that fine line between personal and what the world needs to hear. Good to hear I’m not alone :)

thank you, Bindu. You know–since we recorded this sucker, I’ve been more conscious–of several things:
what I’m wearing (for realz, this is actually a deepening–it’s less what do I look like, but what would I like to SAY with my body/presence); and
what I want to do (I love doing interview/collaboration/public play dates–it’s really fun and especially with a wonderjuice athletic braintrust like you, gets somewhere unexpected and better than the plan).

Bindu, thank you so much for posting this snippet and the link to the entire interview. Heady stuff this. As I said in my comment on Dyana’s site, as an artist and a non-gender compliant queer, this is balm to my spirit. Thank you for standing up so tall and for being willing to shine your light.
